Thomas Riley, 31, and Lelania Gillon, 39, killed in collision with train in Mount Pleasant, Iowa

Authorities say two people have died after being struck by a train in southeast Iowa. The Mount Pleasant Police Department says a Burlington Northern Rail train struck 31-year-old Thomas Riley and 39-year-old Lelania Gillon at a crossing Sunday morning. Gillon, also of Mount Pleasant, was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, where she died overnight. Riley, of Mount Pleasant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
