It has been determined in the accident investigation that the tour bus-size RVwas pulling a trailer behind it and was traveling on G-76 when it caused this accident by failing to stop.  He he ran a well-marked stop sign at the interesection. This is where G-76 east/west requires a stop and Highway 69 north-south does not stop and traffic is moving at 55 miles an hour.  There is a flashing red light on both sides as you approach the intersection on G-76 as well as speed-bump risers with noise makers at several intervals prior to this stop sign.  Those markers make a very loud noise to warn you, not once,  but three times.  They tried to determine if the RV was speeding but cannot until they have lab results from the measurements.  If the RV and the total weight of the trailer being pulled behind are oversized and excessively heavy, they require much further distances in which to stop safely.  I can already imagine how this is going to play out, he was too heavy to get stopped in time even with the warnings and it was too late.  They said no alcohol was involved, but what about drugs, or sleep depreviation? What about poor vision because they weren't wearing glasses or sun protection? What about distracted driving? (i.e. texting, talking on cell phone or watching TV, all of which are against the law in Iowa while driving).  I was raised by the grandmother who died in this accident and yes, we want answers, we were not able to say goodbye because the accident barely left enough to identify my grandmother and my cousin.  My Aunt who was driving lost her mom, her son and almost lost her daughter as well. They were following all the laws and knew the road like the back of their hand. They travelled it nearly every single day.  The RV had to have been traveling so fast that she didn't even have time to see it approaching the stop.  I am just wondering why the initial results from an accident always get reported on the news but we never hear a follow up?  What was the outcome from the measurements they took to determine how fast he was traveling and how much did that RV weigh?  How much did the trailer weigh and what was being towed inside that thing?  No one in the RV was hurt and no one from their RV ever contacted our family to even offer condolences or prayers.  It's a shame that they value life so very little that they couldn't even send a message along to us asking if they could offer any help.  We will have to rely on donations and a fund raiser for funeral expenses and medical bills.  This is the hardest part, my grandmother and cousin cannot even have a normal funeral with visitation and a viewing, they can only have a creamation and a memorial service because of their injuries being so severe.  They were not identified by a family member viewing their bodies, they were identified by the medical examiner asking questions about their body parts and clothing, questions that no one should ever have to answer, especially after being told that there is absolutely no way anyone will be able to view their remains.  THAT is the reality of what our family is facing.  That is only the beginning of what we face now, my cousin is going to need years of therapy and surgeries, my aunt is going to be in therapy for the rest of her life after this.  This family will never be the same again because someone wasn't paying attention.  Someone doesn't realize when they are being careless or not thinking straight that it is not just YOU on the road out there, and it would be cool if you were the only person you were placing in harms way by being an idiot driver who cannot pay attention or who didnt get enough sleep or wanted to watch the weather as you drove.  IT KILLED A LITTLE INNOCENT BOY AND HIS GRANDMOTHER.  THEY ARE GONE FOREVER.
