Investigators said a pickup truck being driven by Michael Wright, 31, changed lanes and hit a big rig before striking the center median guardrail.
Officials said Wright and a passenger, Susannah Thompson, 44, were ejected from the truck.

Michael Eric Wright, 31, is in custody at the Polk County Jail on charges of vehicular homicide, homicide by vehicle by reckless driving, driving while barred as a habitual offender and a third offense of operating while under the influence.
