Des Moines police say the ambulance was headed south on East 6th when a westbound red pickup truck t-boned the ambulance. The ambulance rolled onto its side, trapping two occupants for a time. The pickup flipped onto its top.

An ambulance was headed over Interstate 235 on the East Sixth Street overpass when it was t-boned by a red pickup and rolled over onto its side. Two people inside the ambulance were trapped inside for some time, but were not injured. Two people in the pickup were injured and treated at a local hospital. There were no patients inside the ambulance at the time of the crash.
