Elderly Driver Unknowingly Strikes Pedestrian

The driver, who struck the pedestrian, left the scene but police said he was not fleeing. At approximately 1:05 p.m., emergency officials were dispatched to Tuscany Restaurant in reference to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. "The driver was an older gentleman who had just loaded up his sister to take her back to Good Samaritan. A witness told The Post that an elderly man had a "large gash" on his head and was receiving medical treatment. Milligan.No charges will result from this incident, but the police department will likely recommend that the driver undergo an evaluation to retain his driver's licence.
