Two Decorah residents died after a crash in Howard County.
The fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Highways 9 and 139 near Cresco around 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Donald Olsen, 88, pulled out into the intersection, and his vehicle was struck by a truck driven by Gerald Ollendieck, 75, of Ridgeway. Olsen and his passenger, Wilma Olsen 82, were transported to Cresco Hospital, where both were pronounced deceased. Ollendieck was also transported to Cresco Hospital, and his current condition is not being reported at this time.
