A fatal crash left a woman dead and her husband critically injured last Sunday. No charges have been filed, but a source close to the investigation says they could come soon. A Kansas Highway Patrol accident report states that a car crossed the center line on K-32 just outside of Linwood, Kansas and hit a motorcycle head on. A husband and wife on the bike ended up in a ditch, the wife died at the scene. They were identified as Kristopher and Mary Steuber. My wife looked out the window and she saw a body rolling on down the highway,” Brock explained. The KHP accident report says a 35-year-old woman was driving her 1998 Mercury Sable, crossed the center line and hit the 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle, head on. The posted speed limit where it happened is 65 miles per hour. A helicopter landed in the Brock’s front yard. It was used to fly Kristopher Steuber to the hospital. Monday, Brock was still trying to process what happened, he was emotional, but his concern was for Mr. Steuber, rather than himself. “I’m hoping that he will be able to make a recovery, this man has some significant losses to cope with so my heart goes out to him,” he said. An update on Steuber’s condition wasn’t available Monday. The driver of the car was not injured.
