Fort Riley soldier killed in motorcycle crash near Junction City

A 29-year-old Fort Riley soldier lost his life late Sunday in a motorcycle crash in Geary County, authorities said. Sunday on northbound US-77 highway about 2 miles south of Junction City. The fatality victim was identified as Edward I. Ablang, The Kansas Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at 10:35 p.m. Ablang was traveling north on a 2014 Suzuki motorcycle on US-77 highway when he failed to maintain a lane of traffic, then went off the roadway into the east ditch. The motorcycle overturned several times, ejecting Ablang, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
