Michael Stephens, 55, injured when high winds cause 18-wheeler to topple on U.S. 73 in Atchison County

High winds topple semi on Wednesday in Atchison County, sending driver to hospital

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2007 Freightliner semi was traveling south on US-73 highway when it rolled onto the driver’s side because of high winds. Wednesday on southbound US-73 highway, just south of 286th Road near Lancaster. The driver, Michael Stephens, of DeSoto, 55, was reported injured and was taken to Atchison Hospital in Atchison.
