One dead in motorcycle crash in western Sedgwick County, Kansas
Sedgwick County dispatchers confirm one person was killed in the crash that occurred shortly after 4:45 p.m. in the westbound lanes of US 54. The Kansas Highway Patrol advised US 54 was closed in both directions near 295th Street as the crash scene is being investigated.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by 39-year-old Joshua Cape, of Cheney, was eastbound on US 54 when, for an unknown reason, the motorcycle drifted into the median and struck a raised portion of the median.
