Police identify woman killed on side of I-135 in Wichita

Police say the victim had car trouble, and she and a passenger pulled off to the side of the road. Another car came up from behind and struck the victim, who was thrown into a ditch. Love was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. The other passenger was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Authorities say the suspect left the scene, but he turned himself in. Police say the 26-year-old suspect was booked on hit and run as well as vehicular homicide charges. He has been identified as 26-year-old Caleb M. Elliot according to arrest sheets.

Love graduated from Southeast High School, then headed to WSU. She was working towards her dream of becoming a crime scene investigator, but that dream was cut short early Sunday morning.
