Missing woman found dead in partially submerged SUV
Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Joe Middleton said Diana A. Guevara, 28, was driving a black Toyota Scion XB southbound on I-135 when she “apparently took the (off) ramp to 21st Street” sometime after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
“For an unknown reason, it (the car) left the roadway, drove through the KDOT fence and landed into the canal,” Middleton said, referring to the Kansas Department of Transportation-owned chain link fence that surrounds the water just off the highway and New York Street.
After an injury car accident, take these steps to help the recovery process
When someone has been injured in a car crash, it's hard to know what to do to help. Injured people need appropriate medial treatment, but they also need to have their civil and legal rights protected.
After a serious crash, several steps need to be taken, including dealing with the insurance companies, tracking and documenting lost income from missed work, coordinating medical bill payments, and handling an insurance claim.
