2 dead following Daviess Co. crash

Deputies in Daviess County are investigating a car crash that killed two people Wednesday. The crash happened around 1:00 p.m. near the 5600 block of Highway 54. Deputies say the accident involved a UPS truck and a car. 

Memorial set up for couple killed in Daviess Co. crash

Family and friends are still in shock after learning about a Daviess County couple killed in a crash. The driver, 25-year-old Edward Davis and 24-year-old Sarah Fitzgerald of Philpot were killed. A road side memorial has been set up on the side of Highway 54. A GoFundMe account has been created to raise money for funeral costs and other expenses. Deputies say a UPS truck pulled into a gas station right into the path of a SUV heading west.

Two Daviess County residents killed in crash with UPS Truck

According to the sheriff’s office, the double fatality occurred around 12:30 in the 5600 block of Highway 54 when a UPS Delivery truck, driven by Miles Glin of Owensboro, was making a left hand turn into the Kangaroo Express parking lot and pulled into the path of a Ford Escort driven by Davis.
