Deputies are still investigating why Bell was walking along that dark roadway at such an early hour but they say that Bell did have a job in the vicinity. The car that was involved in this hit-and-run incident is now in the possession of the Scott County sheriff's office.
A pedestrian crash happened early Monday morning along US-25 just north of Georgetown. David Andrew Bell, 20, of Georgetown, was walking along the roadway and was struck by a man driving a car that was found abandoned. Authorities have a person of interest that they are looking for. David Bell is listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit at UK Hospital.
