Man lying in bed killed when truck hits home; 2 others injured

Shelby County police said the truck hit the home in the 12000 block of Mount Eden Road around 11:30 p.m. Aug. 29. According to Kentucky State Police, a 48-year-old Mount Eden man drove into a utility pole, and continued through a field before hitting the house.
A 28-year-old man lying in bed in a Mount Eden home was pronounced dead at the scene after a pickup truck crashed into the building, according to police. The driver and a woman who was in the house were both taken to Jewish Hospital of Shelbyville. Their conditions are unknown.
