A man had to be removed from his car and transported to a hospital after a train struck the vehicle in southeastern Jefferson County shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
A man had to be removed from his car and transported to a hospital after a train struck the vehicle in southeastern Jefferson County shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday. The driver told police he got lost on a private road near Taylorsville Road and Stone Lakes Drive and attempted to turn around on nearby train tracks, Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said. A train rounded a curve and struck the car while the man was still in it, pushing it a short distance, Smiley said. Crews removed the man from the car, and he was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
