WHAS11's Brooke Hasch said the accident happened right in front of the J. Graham Brown School just minutes before students were set to participate in a fire drill where they would have met at the same corner where the accident occurred.

An ambulance carrying a patient was involved in an accident with a van at 1st Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard. The incident took place just after 9:30 a.m. and left five people with minor injuries. The patient was placed aboard another ambulance and continued to the hospital. Police are investigating if the ambulance had its sirens on during the time of the crash.
