UPDATE: 8 people injured in crash involving TARC bus on Bardstown Rd.

Eight people were injured Thursday morning when a TARC bus was rear-ended by a car, Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell said. The bus had stopped to let passengers on and off the bus. The driver and two passengers from the Mercury also were injured.

4 passengers transported to hospital after Tarc bus accident

Several people are reportedly injured after a Tarc bus crash on Bardstown Rd. According to LMPD, the driver of a silver Mercury Sable was southbound on Bardstown Rd., struck the rear end of a Tarc bus that was also southbound on Bardstown Rd. stopped letting passengers off and on the bus. The driver and four passengers from the Tarc bus received injuries and were taken to either University Hospital. The driver and two passengers from the Mercury Sable were also injured and taken to the hospital. All injuries appear to be non- life threatening.
