UPDATED: Five injured in Wax wreck

Five people were taken to the hospital following a crash at the intersection of Wax Road and Grayson Springs Road in Wax on Sunday afternoon, June 14. At around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Grayson County Sheriff'€™s Office (GCSO), Wax Volunteer Fire Department, Clarkson Volunteer Fire Department, and Grayson County Emergency Medical Services (GCEMS) personnel responded to the crash. Terry told police that she did not see anyone coming when she pulled onto Wax Road in front of a 2003 Buick LeSabre, driven and owned by 79-year-old Marion Bishop, of Cub Run, and travelling straight on Wax Road through the intersection, Mudd said. Doris Bishop was flown from the scene by an AirMethods emergency helicopter to receive further medical treatment at University of Louisville Hospital. Terry had to be extricated from the Ford by fire department personnel, the report read.
