Authorities say Erwin was wearing a helmet and was riding the ATV under parental supervision when the accident occurred.
11-year-old Sidney Erwin of Fancy Farm died Wednesday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee after an ATV accident in her family's yard. The Graves County Sheriff's Office said that Erwin had been riding the ATV earlier that day when she lost control and struck a tree, which caused the ATV to flip over. Erwin was first brough to a local hospital and later flown to Vanderbilt.
