KSP investigating deadly Livingston County crash

An 18 year-old Ledbetter woman died in an early morning crash in Livingston County. Kentucky State Police troopers responded to a single vehicle crash on KY 453 around 12:30am, about three miles south of Smithland. They say Katie McFarland was driving southbound on KY 453, when for unknown reasons, she drifted off the road, overturning her car. McFarland and an unrelated 16 year-old died at the scene.  A portion of the road was shutdown for several hours Saturday morning, but the road is now back open.

Funeral arraignments announced for teen killed in wreck

Funeral arrangements are set for one of the teenagers killed in a crash this weekend in Livingston County. Both will be held at Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Salem, Kentucky. A visitation for Loveless is set for Wednesday at 5 p.m. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. Kentucky State Police say 18-year-old Katie McFarland and 16-year-old Jordan Tyrae Loveless died when McFarland's car went off the road on Kentucky 453, struck a tree, then caught fire.
