2 teenage brothers killed in New Iberia crash

Both young men were pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Henderson tells KLFY-TV that the senior student was scheduled to graduate tonight. The ceremony is set for 6 p.m. in the school's gym.

Two teen brothers killed in New Iberia crash Wednesday

Iberia Parish School System Superintendent Dale Henderson told the station that one of the boys was an 18-year-old senior at Westgate High School, and his brother was a 16-year-old sophomore in the same school.

Both teens were students at Westgate High School. Nick Peltier was to graduate from the school tonight. 

Teens Die in Crash, One Was Hours Away From Graduation

The crash happened around 7:00 Wednesday morning at the intersection of East Admiral Doyle and Soutport Boulevard in New Iberia. Both were students at Westgate High School.

Nicholas was 11 hours away from graduation. His class honored and remembered his legacy at commencement.

The evening meant to be celebratory had more of a somber mood.
