As they were discussing the crash, Scott Parfait, 43, smashed into one of the parked cars and killed the victim, State Police said.

Suspected impaired driver arrested following Sunday accident in Tangipahoa that killed a New Orleans man

Parfait was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on vehicular homicide, careless operation, and driving under suspension. 
The woman who was killed early Sunday in a crash on Interstate 55 in Tangipahoa Parish has been identified as Tashe N. Disroe, 27, of New Orleans. Disroe and another driver had been involved in a collision and were standing outside their vehicles when a northbound Toyota collided with Disroe. The Toyota driver, Scott Parfait, 43, of Kenner, was charged with vehicular homicide, careless driving, and driving under a suspended license. Toxicology test results are pending for Parfait.
