Woman, 30, struck and killed by car in Kenner, police say

A 30-year-old Kenner woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday night. Rachelle Guillory ran "for unknown reasons" in front of a 2002 GMC Yukon heading eastbound in the 2500 block of Reverend Richard Wilson Drive around 8:20 p.m., hit the front driver's side of the car and was thrown into the adjacent lane. The driver of the car, a 33-year-old Metairie man, was not injured. Police do not believe driver impairment or speed were factors in the incident.
