The east side of Elysian Fields Avenue at Treasure Street will be closed for several hours Wednesday following a traffic accident that toppled a pole, NOPD said. Treasure Street in the 7th Ward for an estimated 4 to 5 hours Wednesday (Jan. 15) afternoon, New Orleans Police said, as crews work to clear a downed pole following a traffic accident.

Treasure Street in the 7th Ward for an estimated 4 to 5 hours Wednesday (Jan. 15) afternoon, New Orleans Police said, as crews work to clear a downed pole following a traffic accident.
An NOPD spokeswoman said motorists are advised to find alternate routes until the obstruction is cleared, which might not be until 6:30 pm. The closure began at approximately 1:30 pm as work crews began removing the downed pole and debris.
