Two buses full of band members crashed into each other on their way to the parades this morning, according to an official with New Orleans Emergency Medical Services.
Two buses full of band members crashed into each other on their way to the parades this morning, according to an official with New Orleans Emergency Medical Services. Three students suffered non life-threatening injuries and were transported to Children's Hospital of New Orleans, said a spokeswoman for New Orleans EMS. The three students were from Martin Behrman Charter School, according to NBC affiliate WDSU. The buses, one of which appeared to suffer heavy damage to its engine block, were headed westbound on Interstate 10 near the Claiborne Avenue exit when they crashed at about 8:01 p.m. The children were in stable condition this morning.
