"I got under that waterfall and it sucked me straight down," he said. "Luckily I found a rope to my boat and pulled myself back up, and I made sure I kept the boat between me and the seal so I didn't get sucked back down. I held onto it with one hand and paddled over to them, and the two boys, they climbed on my shoulders and I was holding on to them."

Leyton Page is a 16 year old boy who risked his own life in a boating accident that happened at the lock canal near Bush, La. He happened upon the accident involving 2 adults and 3 children. He held onto 2 of the children in the water for approximately 20 minutes when another witness arrived and pulled Layton and the 2 children out of the water.
A 14-foot flat boat capsized on the Pearl River Canal about 5:30 p.m. Saturday near Sun, Louisiana. Terry J. O'Keefe Jr., 41, who was driving the boat, was found deceased about 8 a.m. Sunday. Jonie R. Morgan, 31, the mother of three, remained missing as of early Sunday afternoon. The aluminum boat capsized while going over a lock after O'Keefe was unable to start the boat's engines. A teen boy fishing in a boat witnessed the boat overturn and attempted to rescue the passengers when his boat overturned as well. The boy was wearking a flotation device and hugged two of the children - who were 8 and 6 years old - and held on to the mother by her shirt. The mother was holding on to the 4-year-old girl. But Morgan's shirt ripped and the current pulled her and her daughter under the boat. Another boater saw the boys and pulled them to shore. While all three children were wearing life preservers, it did not appear that either of the adults were wearing them. A short time later, another boater saw the 4-year-old girl's body floating from under the capsized boat. She was breathing and transported in stable condition to the Ochsner Medical Center-North Shore. All three children were in stable condition Sunday. The search continues for Morgan on Sunday afternoon.
