Buxton woman dies in Saco crash

SACO, Maine — A 26-year-old Buxton woman died after she was ejected from her vehicle during a two-car crash on Buxton Road, Saco police said Friday in a news release. Buxton Road was closed for more than five hours because of the accident, which caused an extensive amount of debris, police said. Police declined to comment on the cause of the accident pending an investigation by an accident reconstruction team. The man was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland. The crash happened at 11:40 a.m., near the Horton Woods hiking trails beyond Thibodeau Farm, police said.

Buxton woman dies in two-car Saco collision

SACO (AP) — Police have identified a 26-year-old Buxton woman who was killed after she was thrown from her car on Route 112 in Saco. Police are not identifying the 48-year-old Standish man who was driving the pickup, pending notification of his family. Carrier was ejected from the car and declared dead on the scene. Police say he was taken to Maine Medical Center but they had no update on his condition. Police would not say what caused the crash.
