One crash occurred in District Heights, when the driver of an SUV struck a Toyota Camry. Police said the impact caused the SUV to travel off the roadway, strike the guardrail and overturn.
Man killed in overnight District Heights crash
Duan Leo West, 29, of Landover Hills was identified as the victim, police said. Shannon Nicole Stanley, 32, of Newport News was driving the car and was not injured in the crash.

I was on the opposite side of
I was on the opposite side of 495 and saw the Camry run into the center divider and crash and bounce off the center guard rail 3 times. I watched all I could in the rear view mirror and immediately called 911. It bothered me that I did not see any of the 25 or so vehicles even stop.
