Maryland State Police say a driver is dead after his car fishtailed into the path of a tractor-trailer on snow-covered Route 140 near Emmitsburg.

Maryland State Police say a driver is dead after his car fishtailed into the path of a tractor-trailer on snow-covered Route 140 near Emmitsburg.
Police stated that the vehicles collided shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
He declined to identify the dead driver because his relatives hadn’t been notified.
The corporal says the victim was the only occupant of the westbound passenger car when it swung into the path of the eastbound truck. He says the car then went into a spin and the driver was ejected.
The accident occurred as more than 4 inches of snow fell across northern Frederick County
