Police said Bailey was arrested at the Springfield hospital and charged with motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence of alcohol, OUI with serious injuries, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, failure to keep within marked lanes and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was ordered held in lieu of $7,000 cash bail.
Police said the vehicle with three occupants went out of control and crashed into a utility pole on East Street in Great Barrington Saturday.Garret J. Norton, 21, was transported to the Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington where he was pronounced deceased shortly after the 1 a.m. crash. The driver of the car, Kyle S. Bailey, 22, of Glendale, and Michael Moriarty, 20, were taken to the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Moriarty was admitted in fair condition. No information about Bailey's condition has been reported.

This is so sad. Heartbreaking waste....one young man dead and two others with their lives changed forever. I pray for the boy who was driving...my God. So senseless.
