Local, state and railroad police were investigating a freight train accident in Athol, Tuesday morning, after a man was killed on the tracks.

Mary Carey of the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office told 22News that Raymond Regan was walking on a 100 foot-long railroad trestle over the Millers River, when a train approached.
