Man in critical condition after scooter crash in Peabody

The driver of a scooter is in critical condition after a tractor trailer truck struck him on Wednesday afternoon in Peabody.  The scooter was driving up Route 1 in the breakdown lane when the truck turned right into a parking lot and hit it, according to witnesses. The scooter was lodged under the truck.
