Larry Kelley, 62, killed and three people injured in car collision on Federal Street/Route 9 in Belchertown, Massachusetts

The 2:45 p.m. crash on Friday at 299 Federal Street/Route 9 claimed the life of the influential blogger, known for running the blog "Only in The Republic of Amherst."

Kelley was killed in a head-on crash along Route 9 in Belchertown just before 3 o’clock Friday afternoon. Kelley was traveling East on Route 9 when a vehicle coming west being driven by an 18 year old collided with Kelley’s vehicle

Kelley's wake has been scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Douglass Funeral Home, 87 N. Pleasant St., Amherst. The funeral service will be on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Brigid's, 122 N. Pleasant St.

At midday Thursday, $960 of the $20,000 goal had been raised in the since the GoFundMe fundraiser[1] was initiated Wednesday night. "Larry leaves two much-beloved daughters, Kira, 15, and Jada, 10," the GoFundMe post states.

Fellion will face up to two and a half years in prison if convicted of the negligent motor vehicle homicide charge.

Ryan Fellion, 18, is scheduled to be arraigned in Eastern Hampshire District Court on Aug. 4 on charges of negligent motor vehicle homicide, unsafe driving, failure to drive on the right lane and a marked lanes violation, according to court documents.

 A judge on Tuesday heard testimony on a motion to suppress taking the cellphone of the driver facing a negligent motor vehicle homicide charge in the death of Amherst blogger Larry Kelley.
