Uxbridge man killed in Conway motorcycle crash is identified

Mr. Taft worked at the Benjamin Moore Co. in Milford for 28 years before his retirement in 2009, and was a member and deacon at Immanuel Chapel. An avid gardener, Mr. Taft sold vegetables in front of his house.
A motorcycle crash Monday in Conway claimed the life of Richard A. Taft, 63, of Uxbridge, Mass. Police said Mr. Taft was driving north on Route 116 at mile marker 36.5 about 2 p.m. Monday when his motorcycle drifted to the right and hit a guardrail. Paramedics were unable to revive Mr. Taft, who died from injuries he sustained in the accident, the statement said. Conway police, state police assigned to the Northwestern district attorney's office, and the state police collision analysis and reconstruction section responded to the crash.
