Funeral arrangements announced for girl killed in Plainfield

Calling hours for Summer Steele will be held Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home in Shelburne Falls. A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Church in Shelburne Falls.

9-year-old in Plainfield was dragged, run over by school bus

Procopio said the girl was a student at a school in the area and several other children were on the bus when the accident happened. The name of the school and the bus company are not being released at this time.

Parsons "failed to exercise a reasonable level of care and attention" "contrary to the specific and thorough training he had received in order to obtain and maintain his bus driver's license," Riley concluded. 

He will be arraigned on Friday.    

School bus driver charged in death of third grader expected to change plea

The bus driver, Tendzin Parsons, pleaded not guilty to negligent motor vehicle homicide charges in May, but is expected to change his plea Friday.
