According to a State Police statement, the male victim was struck by a 2008 Honda Odyssey mini-van near Exit 3.. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
State Police identify man killed while walking on I-291
Ramon Aguilara-Osorio, 58, of Springfield was killed as he walked on I-291 Friday night, Massachusetts State Police officials said.
A pedestrian identified as Ramon Aguilara-Osorio, 58, was struck by a vehicle at approximately 10 p.m. as he walked on the roadway near the Dwight Street exit, and was later pronounced dead. The 48-year-old female driver from Springfield was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
