Waterford man dies in White Lake snowmobile accident
Snowmobiling is permitted in Pontiac State Recreation Area, said Ron Olson, DNR parks and recreation chief, but there are no groomed snowmobile trails.
According to police in White Lake Township, Oakland county, a 43-year-old Waterford Township man was snowmobiling with others on a trail in the Pontiac State Recreation Area when he hit a gate and died at around 1:20 a.m. Monday. The man was later identified as John Holland.
