Three people are suffering from serious injuries following a head-on crash in Shelby Township Sunday afternoon.

Alcohol was not a factor, but it appears the driver was momentarily distracted, Neubacher said, declining to detail what distracted the motorist, but said he was not texting.
A 44-year-old Shelby Township man was flown to Royal Oak Beaumont after a 19-year-old driver crossed into the oncoming lane on 26 Mile Road. The two drivers and one passenger involved had to be extricated from the damaged vehicles. The cause of the crash is under investigation, but distracted driving is suspected.
