Sheriffs office: drunken Auburn Hills man caught after fleeing four-car crash in Rochester Hills

An Auburn Hills man was arrested for drunken driving after causing a four-car crash near Rochester Adams High School shortly after classes let out for the day Tuesday, Sept. 22. The man, 37, fled the scene of the crash, immediately south of the intersection of Tienken and Adams roads in Rochester Hills, but was located by a canine unit some 10 to 15 minutes later, according to Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Michael Johnson. A preliminary breath test revealed the man had a 0.28 percent blood-alcohol level at the time of the incident, Johnson said. The man’s name is not yet being released, but Johnson said the man was convicted in 2004 of drunken driving in Texas.
