A 73-year-old woman of Allen Park sustained a major head injury when she was crossing Main Street at Fourth in downtown Royal Oak and was struck by a pickup truck. On Saturday a Southfield woman, 35, in a pickup truck turned left from eastbound Fourth Street and hit the older woman about 11:30 a.m. Neither alcohol nor the weather were not involved in the accident.
