Ubly woman dies in crash on M-53

Following the collision, both vehicles came to rest near the east side of the roadway. The driver’s side rear passenger in the G-6, a 65-year-old Ubly woman, died as a result of the crash, while the three other occupants of the vehicle were taken to Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe for treatment. Both occupants of the Jeep were taken to Hills and Dales Hospital in Cass City.    All individuals were wearing their seat belts and icy roads played a factor in the crash. 

Woman identified in fatal Greenleaf Twp. accident

Sherry Kay Bensinger, 65, of Ubly, was riding in the back seat of a Pontiac G6 sedan with three other occupants, traveling north on M-53 near Bay City Forestville Road, when a Jeep SUV entered their lane of travel and struck the Pontiac head on.
