The driver of a 2006 GMC flatbed truck was identified as Randall Keith Carvey, 56, of Center Line, and the driver of a 2012 Freightliner box truck was identified as Wesley Ryan Kandt, 31, of New Haven, according to MSP.
It was approximately 11:10 a.m. when a flatbed truck headed west on 29 Mile Road began to veer off of the roadway to the right. The driver then overcorrected to the left and entered the oncoming lane, where he collided with and eastbound box truck head-on. Both drivers were killed on impact. Adding further complication, the flatbed truck continued until it hit a utility pole, and became entagled in live power lines. Check back for updates on this developing story.
