Pedestrian suffered minor injuries.
Police in Montcalm County are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a vehicle whose driver is accused of hitting a pedestrian and then fleeing the scene. Devon Lee Hollenbaugh, 20, was walking south on M-66 south of Holland Lake Road in Sidney, north of Sheridan, around 10:09 p.m. Dec. 6. Police said a southbound vehicle’s passenger-side mirror struck Hollenbaugh as the vehicle drove by, according to a news release. The driver then drove from the scene. Hollenbaugh was transported to Sheridan Community Hospital where he was treated and released for minor injuries. Witnesses told police they believed the vehicle was possibly a van. Mirror parts found at the scene indicate it may be a 2005 Chevrolet Uplander.
