Vicksburg resident dies in delivery truck crash near Schoolcraft
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Saturday morning on Portage Road north of West U Avenue. The crash occurred at 6:58 a.m. Saturday when a northbound delivery truck ran off the west side of the road, hit an unoccupied car in a driveway, continued on and struck a tree in the 11600 block of Portage Road. The driver — a 26-year-old from Vicksburg whose name is being withheld pending notification of relatives — was killed as a result of the crash with the tree.

On Monday, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department identified the driver as 26-year-old Ethan Leasure, of Vicksburg. Deputies say Leasure died when the delivery truck hit the tree.
