One man was hospitalized Tuesday after his vehicle landed on its roof following a single-car crash.

One man was hospitalized Tuesday after his vehicle landed on its roof following a single-car crash. It happened around 10 a.m. on Buchanan Street west of US-31 in Grand Haven Township, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department. Jonathan Hoffman, 45, of Grand Haven Township was headed east on Buchanan when his 2013 Toyota Rav4 went off the road into a ditch. It hit a driveway culvert and went airborne before hitting several trees and landing on its roof, authorities said. Hoffman, the only person in the vehicle, was pinned in and had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was listed in critical condition at North Ottawa Community Hospital Tuesday afternoon, authorities said. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the wreck, the sheriff’s office said.
