Troopers say they believe a 24-year-old eastbound driver had been drinking.
Authorities are investigating a possible drunk-driving collision that killed one person in Muskegon County Thursday night at East Sternberg and S. Maple Island Roads in Sullivan Township. Investigators believe the alleged drunk driver stopped at the stop sign, then drove into oncoming traffic and hit a northbound car, driven by Bruce Leatherman, 61. Leatherman's car rolled twice, and he was ejected. He was transported to a local hospital where he died.
