As deputies were heading to the area, the wrong-way SUV crashed into an eastbound vehicle on I-196 near 48th Avenue in Zeeland Township.
The impact of the crash forced the eastbound vehicle into the median where it hit a guardrail. The 29-year-old Zeeland resident was treated on scene for his injuries.
The at-fault driver, a 45-year-old Caledonia resident, was arrested and is being held at the Ottawa County Jail.
