Police identify Dimondale teen killed in car crash Tuesday night

The teens were driving westbound on Harper Road between Eifert and Onondaga roads in Delhi Township when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
HOLT - One teenager has died and two were injured after a car accident in Holt last night, according to the Ingham County Sheriff's Office. The passenger riding in the backseat, 17-year-old Christopher Miranda-Oliva of Dimondale, was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene. Two 18-year-old males survived. Driver Dallas Leal, a Lansing resident, is in serious condition at a local hospital. Front seat passenger Alfred White, from Holt, is in critical condition. The teens were driving westbound on Harper Road between Eifert and Onondaga roads in Delhi Township when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle involved was a 2000 Pontiac. At this time police do not believe alcohol or drugs are involved. The crash may have involved the driver swerving to avoid a deer.
