Teen dies after vehicle-bike crash in northern Hillsdale County
Witnesses reported a vehicle traveling west about 10 p.m. June 19 on Mosherville Road, near Borden Road, collided with the bicycle, ridden by Braxton Petrie of Jonesville, according to a statement from the Michigan State Police.

Tuesday night, June 19, a pickup truck driven by 20-year-old Seth Magda struck and killed 16-year-old Braxton as he peddled his Redline race bike on Mosherville Road, a half mile from his father's home on Borden Road in northern Hillsdale County's Scipio Township.

Seth Magda waived his right to a preliminary examination, a probable cause hearing, moving District Judge Sara Lisznyai to send the case to circuit court. A pretrial hearing is tentatively set for July 30.
